Year R Having a Cracking Time
19 April 2018
The children in the Foundation stage enjoyed watching the chicks hatch from eggs in March. They started off in the incubator being kept warm by the motor. We saw the eggs crack one by one. Then the chicks made a little hole, (this is called pipping!). Then out popped a chick. They were all wet and wobbly to start with but soon woke up and dried out to be fluffy. The yellow ones are boys and the brown ones are girls! We held or stroked one and enjoyed looking after them.
29 March 2018
What an amazing response we have had this year! Children made Easter gardens, Easter hats and Easter cards for the competition. There was such good quality, originality and creativity showing through all the entries. It goes to show that children enjoyed making their products and were keen to be part of the competition. The judges had such a difficult time choosing winners since all the entries looked spectacular. All children received a token of appreciation for their hard work. Parents were invited to look at the display and their responses were very positive. We would to thank everyone who helped children to make something for the competition. We wish you a very happy Easter.
